ÉVOSZ

Bringing the Hungarian construction firms on a European Union level in all fields (social, economic, legal and technical) can be considered as the overall goal of this project. Therefore, the project consists of three phases.

The first phase aims at establishing an efficient and effective communication and information network between the project partners VCB and EVOSZ.

EVOSZ is a quiet new but ambitious employers’ organization who aims to defend the interests of her members-building contractors to the maximum and wants to inform them as good as possible. By transferring experiences and know how, VCB hopes to contribute to the further development of EVOSZ as the most important representative of the construction firms towards the Hungarian government and as an expert in construction matters.

Phase two aims at achieving a transfer of skills and know-how from the Flemish construction sector to the Hungarian construction sector so that Hungarian construction firms will be more competitive. This transfer especially focuses on managerial skills. To achieve this on a theoretical level, a Flemish educational programme for managers in the construction sector, i.e. the “Master in Construction Management Programme”, will be presented in Budapest for the Hungarian construction sector. In this way, the project will contribute to the further development of SME’s in the Hungarian construction sector, as well as to the integration of these Hungarian firms into the European market.

In a last phase, international co-operation between Hungarian and Flemish firms is being encouraged through the organisation of working groups in Brussels, which will enable construction firms to improve their international contacts and to get to know the respective working environments and the possible forms of co-operation better. A selection of Hungarian managers (five, selected on the basis of their results in the MCM-programme examination and their knowledge of foreign languages) will take part in the working groups and visit a number of Flemish companies. In the working groups Hungarian managers will discuss and try to solve case studies, with the help of some Flemish managers. In the case studies the Hungarian managers will learn how to apply their knowledge which they gathered during the MCM-programme.
